Migrantour Ljubljana
Lina is working with storytelling, both as a dramaturg and director of professional performances and as a workshop facilitator and event organiser for people of all levels and backgrounds. Her special interest lies in personal stories, site-specific storytelling and musical storytelling.
During three days in Ljubljana (SLO) in Dec 2023 Lina worked with site-specific storytelling in a multilingual workshop organised by the NGO Terra Vera as a part of the European project Migrantour.
The workshop ended with the participants creating a story walk in Ljubljana, inspired by the city, themselves and the theme birds. It was during this workshop that the song “Roots and wings” started coming to Lina.
“It was not just a workshop. We lived a small life. When someone asked me what we did, I said I could describe the techniques or tasks we did. But it will remain just tasks and techniques. They're cool, they can be used, but they're not that valuable if you didn't do them in the atmosphere and with the rituals that Lina created.
We became very close as a team, we opened up, we cried and laughed, and at the end of those three days we created a tour together, intertwining our stories, choosing not so many places, but telling and showing so much. In addition to the fact that I took away a huge amount of knowledge, I feel the value of something intangible that I received at this workshop.”
